Project Works

As part of the West Gate Tunnel Project McElligotts were engaged to shop prepare and paint over 54 Bridge Girders at our Launceston Yard.
Despite extremely tight delivery timelines, each girder was subject to rigorous levels of compliance testing throughout the fabrication and painting processes. This included protective coating application to ensure long-term durability and performance under demanding conditions.
As strict quality deliverables can often vary from road authority to road authority, an eye for detail and an acute understanding of the standards and specifications is paramount.
From Launceston all of the girders were transported to the sites and erected where our Victorian team then proceeded to undertake touch-ups post-instalment.
Our skilled Victoria team operated on these complex construction sites with EWP, scaffolding access systems, and other systems to deliver the quality finish we see now.
