Protective Coatings for Wind Turbines
Mortlake Towers Protective Coatings

Depending on the size and accessibility of the structure, we can paint on-site or in a separate facility. This is ideal for applications such as the mining industry which often requires protective paint or coating application on large mobile objects such as excavator beams.

Capabilities:

  • Structural steel fixtures
  • Pipelines
  • Interiors of tanks and other pressurised vessels
  • Steel cables
  • Dams and hydraulic structures

As applications and industries change, the ideal protective paint solution will also vary. Our team will thoroughly assess your environment and structure to identify the best industrial protective coating product for your needs. Whether you’re after protection against flood abrasion, impact damage, carbonation, or metal corrosion, we’ll identify the best protective solution for your structure.

McElligotts invest in and research new technological advancements in the protective paint industry on a continuous basis to ensure that we can provide the best solutions available. We stay up to date with the latest industrial protective coating products to minimise costs and improve coating durability. Our team are skilled in simple spray pot applications to complex airless application systems to ensure the lengthiest lifespan possible is achieved.

Victoria

Echuca-Moama Bridge Project

We were responsible for the abrasive blasting and application of the protective coatings to the bridge sections using an Akzonobel three-coat system – epoxy zinc, high build epoxy and polyurethane finish. Accessing the bridge sections can get quite high, so a rolling scaffold was constructed to assist works to the internal surfaces and another scaffolding was constructed to assist works to the external surfaces of the structure.
