McElligotts were proud to receive the City of Melbourne Mayors Award for our work on the Sandridge Bridge Precinct Redevelopment, Sandridge Bridge also received an Architecture Award for Urban Design. The jury said “there is a generosity toward the public realm at the Sandridge Bridge” and “its refurbishment adds to a series of pedestrian bridges that now stitch together the fabric of the city across the Yarra”.

Mayor John So said “I am also thrilled about the Sandridge Bridge. This project is funded by DSE and managed by the Council. The Travellers sculptures are set to become another Melbourne icon like the Flinders Street and are part of the Council’s continuing program to improve Melbourne’s river frontage.
